WEST CUMBRIA BRANCH REPORT 2006

Writing my last report as West Cumbria Branch Chairman, I have enjoyed it, and have met a lot of folk at Shows.

West Cumbria found some superb hoggs and lambs to send to the Royal Show. The hoggs stood the extreme heat very well (better than me).

The first lamb sale was at Wigton, a good show of lambs. Judge was Willy Rae. A record price was achieved at Wigton.

This year's sales have been and gone, not brilliant but on a par with last year. Hope for better things next year.

As this is my last year I would like to take this opportunity to thank all committee men for helping with supplying and getting sheep ready for show stands, and all sponsors who sponsored us in any way.

I wish Ian Armstrong all the best as new Chairman.
